Meet Courtenay

As a mom of three young biological children and two stepchildren I know how important it can be to get a good rest at night - and what it means when you’re losing out on that precious sleep. Having someone to talk to and ask questions of is completely invaluable when it comes to making sure your little one, and your family, are getting the sleep they need. I am so grateful for my family and friends who would try to assist me through these hard times with all three of my bio children. But it wasn’t until I had my third child, my son - whom had the most trouble with sleep - that I decided to become a certified sleep consultant and provide the gift of help to other parents.

Other than keeping up with my children, I love being outside soaking up the sun in the summer or going on adventures in the mountains during the winter. I grew up in the rural mountains of Canada and am a mountain girl through and through. I love the beauty, awe and calm that being in nature gives me and look to be in that space as much as I can! You can usually find me at the park with my kids or going for a walk in the sun.

I’m passionate about babies and their families and find great joy when I hear them say their baby finally slept through the night for the first time. I know in those moments that becoming a professional sleep consultant is my true calling! I chose to start my professional sleep consulting journey a year ago and have worked with many families and I plan on working with many, many more. I would be honoured to learn about your family and how I can help you as well!

If you would like to learn more about me or sleep training, you can send me an email or call me anytime: 250-231-4880

What My Clients Are Saying

If you’re wondering about a sleep consultant, I would look no further! Courtenay and her sleep training has worked magic for my second born son. The good news is my almost 2 year old is sleeping in his own bed and through the night!!! I did the cry it out method and I’m telling you it has been wonderful! I was nursing my baby all night, switching sides, not getting the restful sleep that I so desperately needed and my son wasn’t getting the sleep he needs which lead to a fussy cranky baby. Now my boy is happier and rested making for a happier, better time for everyone! Courtenay is always there, any questions I had, and to guide me through and settle my nerves whenever I needed her! I just want to say thank you Courtenay for recommending I do this, it has been the best decision I have made!! 😄

If your little one is struggling with their sleep, I highly recommend Courtenay's services!

We got amazing results in a very short time. It seriously seemed like magic. My daughter went from waking up every hour to sleeping through the night and napping like a champ! Courtenay was there every step of the way. She was extremely supportive and knowledgeable. We honestly could not have done this without her. Hiring her was one of the best decisions we've made. Life is feeling enjoyable and manageable again. If you are on the fence about hiring her, just do it. I promise you won't ever regret it!

To anyone that is thinking about ” working with Courtenay, this is your “you should definitely do it” post. Been going back and forth on whether to transition to one nap and with Courtenay’s help we’re on the right track. It’s definitely a work in progress as all things with sleep are, but knowing that I have someone to bounce ideas off of and talk it through with is so comforting. It’s only been a week and I know our journey isn’t over just yet, but wanted to stop here and leave a note 😊 Thanks Court! I appreciate you 😊

Courtenay is extremely knowledgeable about infant sleep! The sleep plan provided is very thorough and she provides a helpful wake window chart that can be referenced in the future as well.

Courtenay helped us get on a better age appropriate nap schedule and I highly recommend her services for anyone needing help with naps and/or night time sleep!

FAQ

  • Teaching your little one to sleep well is not an easy task and can seem much like a puzzle that needs to be solved. This can be a hard puzzle to solve when you are getting conflicting information online and from family and friends. A sleep consultant can be exactly what you need because they can help you with your little one and help you to do what works for your family. A sleep consultant can help you get better sleep in just a few short days, compared to it taking months to get results.

  • I am so very passionate about babies and their families and getting them the sleep they so desperately need! At Sleep Little One, I don’t want to just provide you with a sleep schedule and send you on your way. I want to develop a relationship and friendship with you so that you know you have someone to help you along this journey! I provide unlimited messaging throughout the journey to make sure you are getting the best help possible! I am always available to help you whenever you need, give you encouragement to keep going when things get hard and celebrate with you when you succeed!

  • Absolutely not! Although, all babies cry when they are unhappy about something, including a change in their routine! Babies will “protest” (cry) during sleep training because they are upset they are not getting what they are used to getting any more. That being said, you don’t have to use the CIO method if you don’t feel comfortable doing that. Keep in mind that there will be some amount of crying with all sleep training methods, but how much is totally up to you.

  • Most definitely! I love talking with my clients about these things and how to manage sleep in a way that works for their little one and their family. Regressions, sleeping through the night and the 45 minute intruder are all subjects that are common with little one’s and I can help you work through these in a way that feels good for your family and helps you get to better sleep.

  • No! In fact, most of my clients are online consults. I work with them via Facetime, messaging and over the phone.
